A.D. Pintega

~en: I was asked to design a logo for a pintaball/woodsball club and sports association.
The name of the club itself has its own story, as "Píntega" is a Galician word for salamander. The thing is that there is one specific type of salamander in the region of the club. It is black with strong vibrant yellow dots. It reminds the splatters of paint so usual in paintball.
So, the logo aimed in that direction: the colours are black and strong yellow. The splatter-ish background is a modification of Galicia map.
I also designed a badge for the team, a t-shirt and a website head image.
I am, by the way, currently in the Píntega association. It is fun and healthy going into the woods and shoot some colourfull balls.

~es: El club de paintball/woodsball y asociación deportiva Píntega me pidió que les diseñara un logotipo.
El nombre del club tiene su propia historia, ya que "Píntega" es una palabra gallega para designar a las salamandras. La cuestón es que en la zona de origen de la asociación hay un tipo específico de salamandra. Es negra y con pintas de un amarillo fuerte y vibrante que recuerdan las manchas de pintura tan habituales en paintball.
Así que el diseño del logotipo fue en esa dirección: hay una salamandra, los colores principales son negro y amarillo fuerte. Además, la "mancha" de pintura del fondo es una modificación del mapa de Galicia.
También diseñé un escudo para el equipo, una camiseta y una imagen de cabecera para la web.
Por cierto, actualmente soy miembro de dicha asociación. Es divertido y sano eso de ir al monte a disparar bolas de colores chillones.
